Ey. from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 872. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/AD3.12.31. X7480. AUTOMATIC CLUTCH SPIGOT LUBRICATION ON THE 40/50. The Test Dept. are complaining of oil leaks on the 40/50 due to excessive oil running in the clutch case from the automatic clutch spigot lubrication. We think that it is only logical to postpone the production of the automatic clutch spigot lubrication on the 40/50 in the same way as we have done on the 25 HP. until we have made it work satisfactor-ily. In any case we believe that the modifications we made prior to the introduction of this scheme will ensure that we do not have trouble with the clutch spigot bearing.
