Dear Mr.Dixon,

Thanks for your letter of the 15th inst. re proposed new design of armature and spindle. I think we can undertake that these armatures shall be square. In any case there will be a very strict inspection on them, and any that are not within a few thou. will be rejected.

As regards the analysis of pump troubles, I am very glad you are taking this step, and I suggest that the pumps should be addressed to you c/o these works, and the cases in which they arrive shall be left as they are until you call.

The A.C. pump delivers 2-3 lbs/sq" pressure. So does our new pump.
Why, therefore cannot we use the same diaphrams. What is relative stroke / fabric area of S.U. & A.C. pumps?
