| To Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} From Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 5830 Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/MJ.2.5.34. We had a discussion with Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}on bodywork yesterday. I am afraid I overlooked the point of providing you with a chassis. I have, however, written to him today about it. The main point I tried to bring out to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} was that we could never find the person in London who took the responsibility for coachwork and whom we could blame when things went wrong. We shewed him the rubber luggage carrier bracket as an example and explained that we thought it was useless writing to London about it because everyone would be able to wriggle out of the responsibility. We did press that you should be given the responsibility of the coachwork. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
