SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} C. to MR. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} PROPOSED SPORTS CHASSIS. R1/W28.11.31. Sent off 30.11.31. X4037 During the visit of HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} to WW. on the 27th. inst., we considered the proposed sports chassis, and find that none of our back work is quite suitable. Even the 20HP. would be too large so that we must push forward Peregrine for this purpose. The special features it would have would be the supercharger, central change, rather longer bonnet, and different shape of radiator, and most important of all a dropped frame so that the roof and centre of gravity could be kept low, which is of the utmost importance for safety, satisfactory steering, and performance.
