Coverley - Production Engineer} 78400 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn{Mr Robinson}3/LG15. 11. 27. PHANTOM LUGGAGE GRID. -------------------- We have carried out destructive tests on this luggage S grid on the pump. The attached sketch indicates where failure occurred. We suggest that the section is strengthened up somewhat at this points and also that the location of the holes A-A and B-B should be carefully arranged otherwise the whole load will either be taken in tension or compression. In this case it would appear that on the N.S. the load has been taken in tension and the O.S. in compression with consequent failure. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} | ||
