1263 E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}12/R.25.6.37. PETROL PUMP SWITCHES. At the recent Retailers' Luncheon, Mr. Pass pointed out to me how irritating it was when his P.III carburetter flooded in Piccadilly not to be able to turn the petrol off, and so clear the engine system. He pointed out that on his first P.III he had a petrol tap. It is suggested that we ought to have an 'off' position on the petrol switch which would be a great asset if flooding was experienced.
