10,000 miles bench test of contact breaker lever fitted with Bone grey fibre (2ND sample) and standard platinum points
The above contact breaker lever has now completed a 10,000 miles run on our standard distributor in the lab.
The usual cam lubrication was omitted in this instance so that a comparison of the wear of the bone grey fibre rubbing block could be obtained unlubricated.
The dimensions of this block were carefully observed before and after the run, the maximum wear being .004"
