Dear Sir,

In Mr. Devereux's absence I am replying to your letter of September 20th, which will be placed before him tomorrow.

In the meantime, however, I have notified him regarding the arrangements you have made with Leylands for Thursday next. He asks me to let you know that he regrets he will not be able to be with you himself, but he is arranging for Mr. Herrington to visit you in order to meet Leylands' people.

Yours faithfully,
For and on behalf of
HIGH DUTY ALLOYS LIMITED.

L. Sanders

ASSISTANT TO MANAGING DIRECTOR.
