-2- Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/MJ.17.10.32. Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} The point therefore we wish to get R's. agreement with is that we can start off with the hand controlled damper of the latest type at the first stage, and have the hydraulic control to go on as a later improvement. In the meantime cars will be made so that the hydraulic portion could be fitted when it has been proved out. Another point we wish to raise with R.{Sir Henry Royce} is the question of independently sprung wheels. We think the chief advantage of this is the possible improvement in the steering, and as improved steering is one of the essential requirements of the big car we ought to be looking into the possibilities of a design. The tests should be tried out on an existing P.11 car so that the design of the new car is not tied up with some very experimental feature. We also hope to be able to convince R.{Sir Henry Royce} of the necessity for the silent 2nd. scheme. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
