S.W. form of 2125/2. Apl. 1913/B.F.400 ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. INSTRUCTIONS. 12283 To: F H RoyceSir Henry Royce Order No. Customer's No. X167 Date: 2.6.13 Re: Scrolls on the carburettor Drawing. Please see L3197H in our possession also Drwg No Rq 1488 which show the new strengthened upper lip, which is the only real part of our recently-concluded test. We wish this to be made by Mr Croft & Dr Plan at once. I quite agree with reference to the advisability of increased strength & being on the safe side. Will you please note that there is now to be a difference of 1/64" between the depth of the scrolls & the height of the needle valve seating. I have returned the drawing & the new dimension must be 1 1/8" greater in diameter. The lengthening to be solely on the top casting. Signed: This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
