We never seem to have heard anything about the three special deep groove ball bearings, No. 4747, which were fitted into the clutch withdrawal mechanism of the 20 HP.

The bearings in question were instructed by us in June 1922.

The Hoffmann Company are interested as to whether the proposal works satisfactorily or not from our point of view.

I have told Mr.Butlin that provided we are not having trouble with our present installation, it is difficult to get us to make a change, but I am pretty certain that you did do some testing in this connection, and I am rather interested in knowing whether it would represent something we could fall back upon if the present scheme gave us trouble.
