X4047 341 GRY{Shadwell Grylls} To BY from Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/HP.18.5.34. C. Wording Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hsy. RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} SpectreCodename for Phantom III - Servo. As Experimental Department have asked for a servo on SpectreCodename for Phantom III larger in diameter than the 25-HP, we have taken the opportunity of the gearbox revision to increase the diameter .5 as shown on N. Sch.4047 herewith. With 4 brakes direct operated no friction is required in the suspension link head so we have simplified that. The run of the operating rods on the car also required some investigation, and the few modifications to the servo required are also shown on this drawing. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} F34 | ||
