been discussing the matter again with
Mr Oldham and shall be delighted if the
matter is again seriously gone into.
The Daimler Company have to some
extent been working a system of suspension
of the body to the chassis without having
it over or rather on the chassis.
Of course any such method will require
the frame work of the chassis to be re-constructed
so as to provide sufficient clearances.
My contention is that some such system
of fitting the body will
(1) Do away with all rattle or any way considerably reduce.
(2) will save on coaches welting.
(3) will be a most simple and quick
method for removing the body if
necessary.
I only hope Derby will see their way of giving
us a "live" or "dummy" chassis to experiment
with as suggested by you.

Mr Perks (of Barkers) would be the best man to consult.
in consultation with experimenters into with haines - Mr Oldham
