been discussing the matter again with Mr Oldham and shall be delighted if the matter is again seriously gone into. The Daimler Company have to some extent been working a system of suspension of the body to the chassis without having it over or rather on the chassis. Of course any such method will require the frame work of the chassis to be re-constructed so as to provide sufficient clearances. My contention is that some such system of fitting the body will (1) Do away with all rattle or any way considerably reduce. (2) will save on coaches welting. (3) will be a most simple and quick method for removing the body if necessary. I only hope Derby will see their way of giving us a "live" or "dummy" chassis to experiment with as suggested by you.
