man in a district containing a sufficient number of Rolls-Royce cars of all kinds fully to occupy his time.

(5) The Sub-Committee agreed that the existing Inspection organization could be used with advantage by supplying Derby-trained men to the Inspecting Engineers, who are already stationed about the country with addresses known to the customers and supplied with telephone.

(6) The Sub-Committee were of the opinion that main Rolls-Royce agents should stock simple spares, i.e., those not requiring expert fitting as, for example, radiators, tanks, etc.

In so far as Service implies actual repair work carried out at Derby, the Sub-Committee recommend that it should be definitely laid down from the outset that a proper proportion of spare parts be manufactured according to the output of chassis and handed over to "Service Stores", and there maintained for service only as being as important as production. At all times the spares in this "Service Stores" must be adequate for efficient service.
