X2924 Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} H7/TB/10.5.22 GOSHAWK "SERVICE". Notes of the Sub-Committee Meeting held at Midland Hotel, Derby, on 5th. May, 1922. Present - C. Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} (1) The Sub-Committee decided that it was essential to issue a guarantee with the Goshawk in every way identical with that now issued with the 40/50 chassis. (2) After discussion, the Sub-Committee were of the opinion that there cannot be two forms of Rolls-Royce Service. That is to say, the customer who buys a Goshawk, which will be as superior in cost and quality as the 40/50 now is to cars of its class, will expect, and should get, similar Service. (4) After discussion, the Sub-Committee suggests that Service should be controlled by one department only, and that this department (at the direction of the Administration) will decide "who pays". The Sub-Committee was anxious to avoid from the outset any extension of the practice of sending mechanics on long distance and mostly single job trips from Derby, many of which are not chargeable to customers, and were of the opinion that a beginning might be made by out-stationing a Derby-trained | ||
