4th November, 1935.

Messrs. Rolls - Royce Limited,
DERBY.

For the attention of Mr. Rowbottom.

Dear Sirs,

With reference to your letter of the 1st inst., regarding a Mark VI Matrix to E.87003, we wish to confirm our conversation with your Mr. Steadman regarding the defects mentioned in the above letter.

We would point out that these experimental Matrices have been made up using hand operated tools in small presses. As explained to Mr. Steadman the design and manufacture of a machine for the production of the Mark VI Matrix in fairly large quantities, is in hand, and we can assure you that when this equipment is running the finish and efficiency of the matrix will be very much better than the experimental samples you have so far had.

We note by a letter of the 30th ult., that you are sending us an order for three more Matrices to E.87003. These Matrices will also be made on our experimental tools but we will endeavour to improve the standard of workmanship and remedy the defects mentioned in your letter of the 1st inst., as much as possible.

Assuring you of our co-operation at all times.

Yours faithfully,
FOR JOHN MARSTON, LIMITED.

MANAGER,
RADIATOR & SHEET METAL DEPT.
