Petrol Rationing.
Many employees are using their own cars for journeys which could equally well be done by train.
I shall be glad if you will make sure that your staff reduce wherever possible the amount of motoring that they are doing.
It is not in the National interest to use petrol except on occasions where it is fully justified. We must, above all, avoid getting a reputation that RR. employees have an unlimited supply of petrol coupons.
