R.R. 235 B (200 T) (S.E. 427, 21-2-18) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2129 RECEIVED Mr Hargreaves from BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Mr Clough. Mr Ormerod. c. EH. c. EFC. November 7, 1918. BY20/KP71118. 8 NOV 1918 X3 CARBURETTERS. ALTITUDE CONTROL VALVE X.3406. Will you kindly note that for the altitude control valves I propose that we should use stainless steel for the valve and phosphor bronze or hard drawn brass for the seating. Will Mr Hives kindly make a new needle valve to the above under the X number quoted at the head of the sheet. As soon as he reports that the material can be readily machined and that he considers it as satisfactory, the D.O. will then incorporate same as standard. The Brinell figure to which the valve should be made is 277 - 296. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
