Wheelcase & Gears to LOP.E.35517 DES.1697.- New Parts - gun gear driven E.31544, Gun gear driving E.31543, Petrol pump driving gear E.31545 fitted in conjunction with .477 reduction gear.

Water Pump to LOP.E.38201.- With Hotwell pump to LOP.E.37262.

Oil Pump to LOP.E.37356. - and oil relief valve to LOP.E.37543.

Magneto Drive & Fittings to LOP.E.32029. - with B.T.H. S.C.12-7C mags.

Hand Starter to LOP.E.32978.

Reduction gear to LOP.E.40820. DES.1812. .477 gear ratio having shaft centres increased by .7016". This assembly included the standard coupling shaft E.35097 of the .475 red. gear to LOP.36291, and standard main drive pinion E.32055 of the .553 red. gear to LOP.E.30095, but incorporated a single row thrust bearing and new gear wheel E.40779.

Petrol Pump to LOP.E.31464. - new driven gears E.31542 and E.29578 necessitated by .477 red. gear.

Carburetter to LOP.E.39707. DES.1825.

Supercharger to LOP.E.39805. - With standard Kestrel MS. gears - 6.9/1 ratio - addition of grooves to bottom face and angle section to slipper pads.

The following component assemblies although common to both Goshawk types l and ll, embodied the following modifications for this test.

Pistons to LOP.E.40262 - addition of oil holes to Gudgeon pin bore.

Cylinders to LOP.E.39940 - One set of outlet restriction washers to Sr.10493 Exhaust valve guides E.38332 opened out to .502" giving .006/.008" clearance reduced in length off bottom end by .200"
