and that they can use a lighter battery with low voltage.
They say that the heavy discharge from the battery for starting the engine does not do as much damage to it as burning two head-lights, because the starting is simply a kick off the surface of the plates.

They do not advise celluloid batteries because of the danger of fire. Mr. Rushmore laid stress on the point that there is a big reduction in the efficiency of a bettery as the temperature drops, he says that at zero it is only 47%.

The Bijur set weighs, dynamo 32 lbs., motor 29 1/2 lbs. battery 60 lbs.

The Rushmore, 37 lbs., dynamo, motor 29 lbs., battery 60 lbs.

We are testing both of these sets and will report later how they work in practice.
