1280 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.6/MH.{M. Huckerby} 9th. February 1938. The Leyland & Birmingham Rubber Co. Ltd., Leyland, Nr.Preston, LANCS. For the attention of Mr.Gollop. Dear Sirs, We are very anxious to know whether you can make a rubber hose connection and Tee piece as per attached sketch, in your S.1633.K rubber with two ply canvas. Will you please advise us as to the practicability of this connection by return if possible, and also as to the approximate price of the connection, i.e. whether it is likely to be a great deal dearer than the connection to EW.1633 already ordered from you. Thanking you in anticipation for anything you can do to assist us in this manner - we may mention that the sample straight hose (with black rubber exterior) submitted appears quite satisfactory and we are accordingly standardising same on all future orders. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
