DERBY.

Dear Mr. Robotham,

I was very glad to have your communication of August 9th, and shall be glad to hear Sir Henry Royce's opinion and views on the sample brake and shoes which we have sent for your consideration.

Might I suggest that in regard to the rigidity of the shoe, perhaps you would like to send one of your technical men to our works, where various tests could be made of this shoe construction, and several could be broken and tested in various ways.

In regard to the Clutch Control, we should be glad of an opportunity of visiting Derby again, and if you will indicate a suitable time, we shall be glad to see what progress you have made with the installation on your chassis.

With kind regards,

I am,

Yours very truly,

HERBERT CLARK.
Managing Director.
