Y2813 SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} FROM DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}2/M20.2.33. Cs to R.{Sir Henry Royce} WGH. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} C. Re. BENTLEY. As we have had so many different editions of Bensport we think it should be made clear how we have classed our drawings. The nomenclature is as follows: (1) Supercharged O.H.V. 2.5 litre, called Bensport 1 or B.1. (2) " Peregrine, Bensport 2. or B.2. (3) Bentley with J.1 engine and central levers, Bensport 3. or B.3. (4) Bentley with J.1 engine and side levers, as finally agreed to, called Bensport 4 or B.4. To coachbuilders we use the word 'Bentley B' and not Bensport. The latest chassis to them is Bentley B.4.
