1129 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 3/R.{Sir Henry Royce} [Printed Letterhead with crest] James Watt Engineering Laboratories, The University, Glasgow. 30 June. 38. Dear Mr Robotham I am in receipt of your letter of the 28th June & note your remarks. I am quite familiar with the text of your first letter, a copy of which you enclosed, but apparently I misunderstood your intentions. I thought that the remoteness of the chance of financial credit accruing to myself was simply due to the supposed impossibility of my producing a solution of your problem. However, your meaning seems to have been more comprehensive than that. I regret that your attitude renders further cooperation impossible. Yours faithfully John C. Morrison [Red ink annotation 'Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}' over the center of the letter] | ||
