Dear Mr Robotham

I am in receipt of your letter of the 28th June & note your remarks.

I am quite familiar with the text of your first letter, a copy of which you enclosed, but apparently I misunderstood your intentions.

I thought that the remoteness of the chance of financial credit accruing to myself was simply due to the supposed impossibility of my producing a solution of your problem.

However, your meaning seems to have been more comprehensive than that.

I regret that your attitude renders further cooperation impossible.

Yours faithfully
John C. Morrison
