CUSTOMERS' COMPLAINTS AND DEPOT CRITICISMS.

The following customers' complaints and Depot criticisms were discussed by myself with BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} and Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} A memo dealing fully with them is being issued.

PHANTOM 111.

(1). Over-oiling on latest series.
(2). Wear on chromium faced tappets with non-hydraulic tappets.
(3). Servo squeaks.
(4). Rusting up of Hand Brake adjustment.
(5). Steering control rattle and squeak due to felt packing losing its effectiveness.
(6). Clocks still unreliable.
(7). Engine Suspension. Front feet working loose.
(8). Inaccessibility of removing crankshaft damper.
(9). Engine timing gear rattles.
(10). Exhaust system rattles and creaks from suspension.
(11). Engine Pressure Oil Filter collapsing.
(12). Suspension - Uncomfortable ride caused by rear axle dither.
(13). Under tyred.
(14). Twisting of pendulum rocker lever.
(15). Rear Shock damper and roll bar connecting link, lack of lubrication to top joint.
(16). Lack of lubrication at tips of rear road springs.
