ORIGINAL. TO BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to CJ. c. to WCR. c. to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/M23.3.23. GOSHAWK 11. FRONT RADIUS ROD SYSTEM X4263 X4261 We send herewith N.sch.1388. showing the front and rear shackles of the front springs. The existing side channel pressing is used, being simply cut shorter. On the rear shackle the frame bracket is the same forging, modified in machining and modified slightly in position. The same front springs are used, but as the shackle pins are now all of the same size it will be necessary to rebush the front spring end. We are sending you in a short while the rear side steering tube joint, and a general arrangement of the radius rods, which will complete the information we are giving you on this point.
