It was also decided to improve the method of centring the jet housing in the carburetter casting by using an arbor centred from the air valve guide to locate the outer jet bush.

5. It was agreed to make the nut which retains the jet bush in stainless steel instead of brass.

6. Adjusting washers were to be used as at present to bring the face of the outer jet housing bush flush with the face of the choke.

7. The pin which is sweated to the float and actuates the needle should be accurately centred in its pressing, and it was agreed that a gauge should be provided to ensure this.

8. It was agreed that BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} should revive the issuing of special instruction sheets to the Works for operations and assembly of the carburetter, which would be No.E.60092, Sheet 2.

9. The inclined holes in the float chamber needle valve housing were to be drilled on a jig locating off the needle seat facing to ensure that the holes did not break through and spoil the seat.

10. The height of the needle valve housing was to be adjusted with adjusting washers as at present to bring the petrol level within the present specified limits, and at the same time to bring the hexagon which locates the new carburetter filter into such a position that this filter would be square with the carburetter.

11. It was agreed to look into the question of removing the corners on the needle valve, and we send you herewith LeC4598 on which this modification has been carried out.
