RE. 40/50 HP. CHASSIS WITH NEW ENGINE.

W
You will no doubt have received my memo. in which we have tried to restrain the administration from dashing into production with the new engine.

There is a considerable amount of designing to be done before we can fit the engine into the chassis in such a manner as we would like.

The car we have running is a scheme which was got out at Derby and a number of the parts are temporary or hand-made.

We are very anxious that you should have a long test on one of these cars as soon as possible. To get the car ready in the time you specify may mean that it would not be the final design. It is also necessary for us to know very soon which chassis it should be. We recommend that you consider taking 46-PK which is fitted with a Hooper open-touring body. C. will be able to give you all particulars re. the body.

We shall require every possible minute of time to get this car ready, so that if we can possibly use an existing body it will enable you to get the car earlier.

Please let us have your views.

Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}
