RE. EAGLE 16. ENGINE. X.4114 X.3841 X.4550

At the present moment E.16. is having its carburetter calibrated by the Claudel-Hobson expert, using the 5 to 1 gear blower.

There appear to be two lines of developement open for testing this engine. One is to go on increasing the blower revolutions to put up the power. The other is to remove the blower and fit ordinary carburetters to each end of the induction pipe on each head using either separate instruments or linking the heads together with 'U' pipes.

The cyl. heads are made with 3 bolter flanges on each end of the induction pipes.

It would be necessary to rock the front magnetos over to an inclined position, but this is not a serious objection.

We have found the double ended induction system good in the past, and it occurs to us as a means of testing out the performance of E.16. with ordinary induction to obtain a base line standard for the blower development.
