C O P Y. To Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} Copy to J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Copy to Na.{Mr Nadin} R6/P 16.7.14. COPY. CROSS STEERING LEVERS. With reference to the cross steering lever broken on the bumping test, this is a surprise, and we presume there are no levers like this on the road, because this is a modern piece, and every care should be taken that it is superior to the piece which it replaced. I cannot understand how we could have altered this without improving it. R.{Sir Henry Royce} Except that the dies were making the piece over size, but the first thing to do should have been to test if it was a superior piece before it was sent out upon the road.
