To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gy c. to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Wo r.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} ORIGINAL Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gy3/LG1.5.29. X3806 N563 CHOICE OF OILS FOR BIJUR SYSTEM. In view of R1/M23.4.29., now we can use two oils, one for winter and one for summer, we can recommend the oils we already use in our gearbox and engine. For summer use we can recommend Amber 'A', and for winter, Prices Motorine C, and Wakefields Castrol 'XL'. These oils have been shewn to be perfectly satisfactory on our lubrication system under these conditions. The use of a straight mineral oil would involve recommending grades of oil we do not use. We think in view of our experience, and the great advantage of recommending engine and gearbox oils, this should not be necessary. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/F.Gaye. | ||
