Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R. Childs}1/MH.{M. Huckerby}22.9.37. RE LUCAS TYPE COILS OFF 32-EX. These coils have been subjected to a road test on a Bentley and were reported to be definitely faulty when the car was accelerated from low speed. We are carrying out further tests in order to ascertain whether this weakness, when working under these conditions, is a characteristic of this coil or whether the fault has developed during the run in France.
