To Ry. from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} c.c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c.c. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c.c. to RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} c.c. to Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} BENTLEY IGNITION GOVERNOR HAND CONTROL RANGE. In view of standardising the reduced hand control ignition range on the 25/30, in accordance with the scheme LoC.5697 on the grounds of improved running and starting when fully retarded, and made more necessary by the later ignition setting for improved idling with the new governor characteristic we have issued a Standardisation Sheet for the same scheme to be incorporated on Bentley, and would like this to be put on Production as soon as possible, thus making identical controls on 25/30 and Bentley.
