To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/HDY.{William Hardy} c. to CJ. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ========== 47380 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Hdy{William Hardy}1/M17.2.26. BAC.7. REAR SPRING FRONT ANCHORAGE. X.7130 X.7410 X.7380 We send herewith N.sch.2132., 2138 and 2144 shewing suggestions for the above. Until we have Mr. Royce's criticisms we think it unwise to assume that either of these is certain to be adopted. We think N.sch.2132 is the one that R.{Sir Henry Royce} will probably prefer, being on the lines of that for Gos.11. These schemes shew idler levers for the brake ropes which we think are necessary to prevent the brake ropes striking the gussets, the sharp edge of which would chafe through the brake ropes.
