-2- This is more than we have been able to accommodate with previous versions of the boot when a full size spare wheel and tyre have been catered for. We allowed space for the boot lid{A. J. Lidsey} hinges and reserved the area under the right hand wing for the battery and tools. Spare Wheel We found the well large enough to enable the spare wheel to be removed without any spragging, but it is an awkward operation. We are trying a detachable strap which will make it possible to lift the wheel into a vertical position with the minimum of effort. With the spare wheel in this position it seems inevitable that practically all the luggage must be removed, including those items under the parcel tray, before the spare wheel can be withdrawn. The reason for this is that in most arrangements of the luggage, those pieces stowed under the parcel tray project over the spare wheel well. AFM{Anthony F. Martindale}/Kt. Kr | ||
