MINUTES OF CONFERENCE HELD AT MIDLAND HOTEL, DERBY.

14TH DECEMBER 1920.

H.S.

(10) "Can we recommend Castrol Oil"?

The head of the Experimental Dept. is still testing this matter and is now out in U.S.A. with a car with Castrol Oil as the lubricant. He is also experimenting with Price's Oil.

(11) "Reference - Has our Chief Engineer agreed to putting half a dozen 14/52 tooth Back Axles through Experimentap Dept."

Design Department at W. pointed out that drawings for these have been sent to the Chief Engineer but no reply had been received on the matter. It was thought that as the Chief Engineer must be very busy on the "Kite" and as this was such a small, but urgent matter, that the conference should agree to pass these drawings on to the Production Engineer and proceed with the making of six of the above.

(7) "Reference Reduction of Establishment Charges.etc."

It was agreed that all Establishment figures necessary to any department to help them to make reductions should be available from the Secretary as far as that department only was concerned.

It was also agreed that establishment charges should be divided into two headings, namely, those that vary with output and those that do not.

These charges will be sent to Heads of departments by the Secretary of the Company from time to time.
