Complaint regarding a non-waterproof A.T. Speedometer No. B.563 which was damaged after letting in water on an 8-EX car.

It is fairly certain that the damage to the hair spring occurred on one of the two occasions on which the speedometer was dismantled. This of course would not have occurred at all had the instrument been waterproof. 8-EX car, on which the speedometer was fitted, lets water in during wet weather.
