re 'Vulture' Auto Tappets.

We send you herewith:

LeC.3726 showing some modifications to the plunger which we think are desirable to incorporate in your scheme RR. Sch.466.

The points are:
(1) The plug at the bottom of the plunger, we think, should not be rivetted up permanently but should be made detachable to make the ball accessible.
(2) We have put a plate at the top of the plunger to prevent dirt getting inside. We think this is important because when decarbonizing and the rocker brackets are removed from the engine, there is the possibility of this happening
(3) The priming can still be done with the plate assembled but without the spring ring in position.
