With regard to handling the pumps when delivered, they will be tested to pump paraffin, but will not be dismantled for inspection. If they fail they will go back to E.U's. This may affect the specification which has been submitted from Electrical Department.

(13). Lamps.
Exactly what is to be done with the lamps is still unsettled. This Department has been trying for weeks to get a decision, but as late as yesterday were informed by Sales that no decision has been arrived at. It affects the switch, lamps and our diagram of wiring.

(14). Side Lever Mechanism.
It is confirmed that the screwed on type of 'all Bakelite' grip is the type required, and this we have already instructed.

(15). Water Pump.
We can definitely remove, if we have not already done so, the boss which was left on the pump as a provision for the use of the thermostat short circuiting system, as the thermostat for operating shutters is definitely decided upon.

(16). Clutch.
The driving springs on the spring drive must be to our drawing requirements i.e. a rating of 1000 lbs. per inch with a limit of minus 50.
It may be that our dimensions for the wire do not conform with the specified results, but what we must have is a spring produced by Salters to the rating quoted.
The coils and wire must be made to suit.
For the damping spring the type, particulars of which were handed to 'G' Department by Mr. Grylls, is to be instructed.

(17). Carburetter.
The new form of pipe to the carburetter jacket of the breeches type is the one required.
