HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from WA{Mr Wallis} ORIGINAL S.S. THIRD LAMP. ETC X7800 / 4152 Referring to the central third lamp, which seemed to vibrate rather a lot, do you know where the vibration was coming from? We are rather afraid whether it was the whole crossmember, while not rigid torsionally. But if the flexibility is in the bracket, could you make it stiffer, say by increasing the depth of section from .625 to .750 finishing the material two gauge thicker. It was also thought that the number plate would be more trouble & possibly have a better appearance if lowered side so the top of the no. plate coincides with the bottom of the crossmember, the forged bracket being straightened out to suit.
