DAILY REPORT.

Paulin Bentley II. B-27-LE.

Montlhéry.

Smooth tread track racing tyres 6.50 x 19" fitted to rear wheels at 3.300 kgs. or 46 lbs/sq".
2nd air vent and baffle made and fitted to centre of sump louvers.

Track conditions Dry.
Barometer 763
Wind 3 to 5 meters per sec.
Air Temp. 9°c

1st Test.
Cold air to silencer. LM.8 needles.
Cut-out plate off.
Best lap speed 174.404 KPH. Oil Temp. 117°c
(6laps) 108.423 MPH. Water " 75°c

Total 16 laps. 3 Voluntary stops. Max. 3400 r.p.m.

2nd Test.
As first but with LM.9 needles. (weaker)
Best lap speed 174.404 KPH.
108.423 MPH. 2 laps.
7 laps completed.

3rd Test.
As 2nd, tyres changed for 6.00 x 19"
same type and pressures.
Best lap speed 174.404 KPH. Oil Temp 120°c
(3 laps) 108.423 MPH. Water " 76°c

8 laps completed. Max. 3500 r.p.m.

Cold air at pressure in front to be taken from centre lamp
position and carried through metal flexible pipe to front centre o
of air silencer.

Two arrangements have been made, one being funnel shape and
the other a replica of S.C.D.863 nozzle.
