γ 832 Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 1/KT. January 10th 1933. The Dunlop Rubber Co. Fort Dunlop, Erdington, B'Ham. For the attention of Mr.A.Healey. Dear Sirs, We are contemplating using oil resisting rubber gland packing on a new type of shock absorber we are developing, and we should like your opinion as to the possibility of obtaining a type of rubber for this job which could be expected to give a reasonable life, of say 3 or 4 years, under the action of mineral oil. The Goodrich people seem confident that they could supply a rubber which would conform to this specification, but we should be very interested to have your views. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
