In my letter Cy1-F16919, I refer to the cutting and bending of wire wheel spokes on curbs. 2. This is particularly serious here, because of the way in which the roadway is dropped at the drain openings from the street gutters, as sketched below: [Sketch of a curb, gutter, and wheel] Sidewalk Roadway 3. Obviously if the car draws up close to the curb and happens to strike a gutter opening, the wire wheel spokes are very liable to strike the curb. Cy. | ||
