X4308. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/AJL. from EFC. EFC1/AD28.8.30. X.4308. A.T. SPEEDOMETERS. We are handing to you for your perusal a copy of our report EFC1/AD19.8.30. You will note from that that we are a little concerned regarding the possibility of increase of reading of these instruments due to a decrease in the control torque of the main spring. We have noted this in two of the cases where we have tested instruments previous to and subsequent to a run on a car for 10,000 miles, and we consider it necessary to take every further possible opportunity of repeating tests of this kind i.e. whenever a 10,000 mile test is run. The object of this note therefore, is to confirm your co-operation of passing us the instruments for test at a suitable time before the commencement of each 10,000 mile run. EFC. | ||
