Dear Mr. Bowering,

Following on our conversation of yesterday in connection with the second set of D.W.S. Permanent Power Jacks for the Phantom 3 car.

I have investigated the position at the works and find, with the exception of a few details, everything is ready and I think you can reckon that the complete set (except for the dash control) will be in your hands by Friday. The dash controls for both the sets should be completed during the early part of next week. However, you can rest assured that no time is being wasted in getting these made up.

With regard to this second set, I assume you have a spare tank to go with it, as you know we have not started making these tanks yet.

You will have received this morning our General Arrangement of the new Bowden dash control. This, of course, has been worked out to fit on to the existing layout without disturbing the pump, but if the general scheme is approved and works absolutely satisfactorily this will be incorporated in the pump very much more neatly and compactly. However, if you notice anything radically wrong with the general scheme perhaps you will let me know without delay.

With regard to the front 16" rams, we are threading these further up the outside barrels to enable the jacks to be lowered to the extent of 1" to give further clearance under the front wheels. We are, however, leaving extra thread on the ram in case the old position has to be taken up for any reason which at the moment is not apparent.

Yours very truly,
Donald Sessions
