Programme update for the Bentley 50 car, covering chassis delivery, body mock-up, and part costs.

- 10 - BENTLEY 50. REVISED PROGRAMME. (a). First B.50 Car. This was available as promised 21.6.38., and considerable work has been done in connection with same in the interim. (b). Second B.50 Car. (1). The chassis was delivered to Park Wards Decr.15th 1938. (2). Park Wards have promised to despatch the complete car to Derby January 14th 1939. (3).The car will then be used in England for intensive development work. It is not proposed to despatch this car to France until the 3rd car is available. (c). Third Bentley 50. Chassis will be available for despatch January 28th. Park Wards will then be in a position to utilise the chassis. (d). Mock-up of prototype Body. This will be available for preliminary inspection by BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} and Experimental Officials round about January 17th. If as would appear from the preliminary inspection the scheme is satisfactory it could then be inspected by Sales any time in the following week. DIES FOR BENTLEY 50 PARTS TO CHECK UP COST. Park Wards are not yet in a position to give us any figures in regard to the front wing and the door, which we have instructed dies for. At the moment they are still waiting delivery of dies and are making the necessary jigs for the door. CARS FOR OFFICIALS TO TRY. This is the second B.50 car which has been completed, and will be available at Derby on January 14th, as indicated in the programme. BODY DESIGNS. There are no new body designs to submit, the next move in this direction being the inspection of the mock-up of the prototype body, which will be available for Sales to inspect some time during the week beginning January 23rd.
