Dear Colonel Barrington:-

Re Multiple Storage Battery.

I am glad that you have heard from Mr. Olley with regard to this battery which I saw when I was in the States.
The special feature with regard to it is the construction of the plate, which is somewhat different to the standard construction, in that the composition of the paste used for filling the plate is of a secret nature, and it is claimed to be of a higher capacity than the existing plate, capable of holding out a greater length of time before it is destroyed, owing to bad handling.

We have as yet had no opportunity of verifying the claims made by the Company, but we have submitted a battery for test to the Technical Department, Aircraft Production, and it has been there now for some considerable time, although they have not yet been able to test it owing to pressure of other work.

With your firm's extensive electrical experience and facilities, it would no doubt be an easy matter for you to test the efficiency of these plates, and if you are agreeable, I will send you two or three batteries of the standard types which they
