Dear Sirs,

With reference to my visit to your Works on Monday in connection with D.W.S. Jacks.

20/25 h.p. Chassis.

I received from Mr. Bailey this morning a letter stating that the modified rear spring plate will be coming through on the above Chassis, about the middle of August and we are arranging to have our new brackets ready for this time. He has also sent us a blue print showing the modification, which we will put on record.

I shall be glad to know, at your earliest convenience, if we may fit our medium weight Jacks to the 20/25 h.p. cars instead of the heavy model we have been fitting hitherto and I understand that these Jacks are now on test on one of the cars at your Works.

BENTLEY.

I fully appreciate your remarks with regard to the weight question on the new Bentleys and I think the only possible way to meet you in this matter, is to attempt fitting the Mark I Jack on this car, but obviously this Jack will require modification in the matter of steel specification throughout. However, I do not think this will be a serious matter. I understand you will let me know if we may progress on these lines and that you will specify the maximum weight you can afford for a Jacking System on this particular car.

40/50 h.p. Chassis.

I am in agreement with you with regard to the effort required to raise this car on the higher geared Jack and it seems
