[STAMP: RECEIVED]

Dear Sirs,

As requested by Mr. W.O.Bentley, we are forwarding to you under our Advice Note No.51 one 8-litre engine piston, one gudgeon pin and two buttons.

The drawings in respect of the gudgeon pin and buttons are nos. BM.7303 and BM.6754. As we believe that you have copies of all Bentley Blue Prints, we are not forwarding our own as we only have one copy of each. If, however, you wish us to forward the Prints, we will do so on hearing from you.

We have the following observations to make:

1) The buttons are made from Duralumin Bar and are a light press fit.

2) The bore of the gudgeon pin should be smooth finish, preferably ground to prevent trouble from loose buttons.

3) There is a 1/16" diameter air vent in the button. This is essential to prevent generation of pressure in the pin with the consequent loosening of the button.

4) The Blue Print shows a conical end to the button, but the sample we are sending (made
