BENTLEY MOTORS (1931), LTD. (SERVICE DEPT.). KINGSBURY WORKS, KINGSBURY ROAD, HENDON, N.W.9. CONTINUATION No. 1. throughout by Brico Ltd.) has had the tips of the coned end removed, which we find is satisfactory. A large area presented to the cylinder wall will result in the button loosening. Rapid wear will then take place and damage to the cylinder wall ensue. 5) The final grinding and lapping should take place after the fitting of the buttons to ensure that any increase in end diameters of the pin due to the pressing in of the buttons has been removed. We have experienced instances of increases from two to four-hundredths m/m.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} in end diameters due to the over stressing of the pin ends with the buttons fitting too tightly. Yours faithfully, BENTLEY MOTORS (1931) LTD. (H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Pike) SERVICE MANAGER. 00040 0008 0016 | ||
